No one tells you this, but it’s actually quite easy to grow citrus in containers. If you’re running short on space or you just want to control the type of soil that you’re using, planting some citrus trees in containers is a great option. So, before you get started, you’re going to grab a container that has drainage holes. If the pot doesn’t have drainage holes, you’re going to want to grab a drill and drill some holes inside of this. Then, you’re going to fill that container with some well- draining citrus potting soil. Then, you’re going to choose a variety of citrus that you know grows well in a container. And I’ll know a few options in the caption. Now, here’s an important tip that some people miss when they’re planting citrus in containers. When you plant in a container, you’re responsible as the gardener for replenishing the nutrients in the soil. That’s because when you plant in a container, the tree doesn’t have the same opportunity to soak up those nutrients from deep into the ground soil. Before you get started, make sure the soil is moist. And then you’re going to gently scratch the fertilizer into the surface of the soil. And from there, you’re just going to water it in and you’re good to go. Happy gardening.
