I just moved her to this pot because the first pot had no drainage. I used new soil. Should I keep her by the window or move her somewhere else? Mixed reviews online about them wanting sunlight or not. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated

Also the plant was on my dresser not by sunlight until yesterday I moved it by the window

She should be fine near a window as long as it is indirect light. Give her some time to adjust to her new pot. Only water when completely dry. And glad you got her a pot with drainage.

I have about 60 plants. Some of them require a lot of work and are very touchy. Wrong soil, slightly too much water, etc., they die. However, easy as this plant is, I always kill it.

They are sensitive to chlorine and fluoride in tap water so it’s best to use with distilled water. It’ll thank you for it!

It’s fine. Plants need time to adapt to new pots or new locations. But they will adapt. I have a dragon palm and a parlor palm that use to get burn tips I assume from tap water but now they are fine. It took a while though. I had to hold my ground lol

  6. Looks fine. A lot of people who are beginners end up killing these by simply loving them too much. Watering too much will cause root rot faster than you can imagine. My best advice it to leave it alone and only water when the soil is bone dry. I have two and I get so many spiderettes off them every year I just throw them at friends and family to get rid of them lol. They truly thrive on neglect and soon you’ll have tons of babies of your own!

Awww spider plants were my gateway into the plant world too 🥰 they are forgiving and happiest in indirect light. If it starts looking pale or white, move it to an area with less sunlight directly hitting it. If you get a sprout bundle over time then that means your spider plant is happy. You can trim the hard stem connected to the sprout bundle, and place it in a glass of water to further sprout/propagate

They do enjoy getting a little fertilizer now and again. For better light you could put something under the pot to raise it up to get a little more light

No he’s not sad. Everything looks fine based on the picture.

Looks happy to me. Water with purified water when the soil is dry. Don’t let it sit in water, though.

From experience, they thrive on neglect. I rotate mine between the corner of my room and a window, and so far it’s the only houseplant I haven’t murdered.
