It’s officially too hot for the snapdragons—so out they go. I’m swapping them for heat-loving zinnias, one of my favorite flowers to grow in containers. These dwarf varieties stay small and will be covered in blooms. They are perfect for this sunny spot.
Before planting, I added fresh worm castings straight from my in-bed vermicomposting bins (can’t get fresher than that), fresh soil from @arizonawormfarm and topped things off with a layer of wood chips. The ollas tucked inside help these containers survive the full afternoon sun.
Which flowers are you planting right now?
