Want to grow lavender in containers? Here’s how I do it:
Use a large pot with good drainage and fill it with a well-draining mix—lavender hates soggy roots. Keep the container in full sun and water deeply but infrequently. During summer dormancy, cut back on watering even more.
Growing in containers gives you more control over soil and placement, especially in hot climates like mine. You can even move pots to a protected spot during extreme heat or cold.
