So… after nearly buying a $900 Wayfair greenhouse it thought to myself… well hey I could build a sturdier, bigger one for that price. Here it is so far.

I used 2×4 ft 10mm triple wall polycarbonate for the roof, and 6×2 4mm polycarbonate for the walls. I DID use foil tape and vented tape to tape the panel openings.

Im at about $900 so far, the final cost will be about $1000. Happy I built one myself, especially living in Colorado with the snow.

Dimensions: 16 ft x 6.75 ft. Really happy how it’s coming out so far.

Looking good! That should hold the snow weight without issues. Hopefully you don’t get bad hail in that part of the state. Looks like you’ve got enough trees to reduce the concern for wind, too.

Be on the lookout for wind advisories in your area, and try to find trampoline tarps after wind storms just in case you do get hail. Give the trampoline tarp a few inches of air space over the GH. With the tarp plus space, you won’t even get hail damage from baseball sized pieces of hail.
