This is to show how much they vary in colour and shape, and that there are many different looking ones similar to the species type, as well as the more recent whiter phenotypes. The whiter ones change depending on the season – sometimes they are very white, other times not so much.

    I was always under the assumption that the true species would have long leaves with a sharp point like shown on ICN. After some times they have included a note saying that the photos are not from a true species because of too long pedicels. I thought that the rosette of Echeveria Belle Etoile would represent the original species the most.

    Now with these photos it seems to me like the rosette of Echeveria Dionysos is more likely to be similar just that the leaves are far less pointy.
