It rained before I could seal up my polycarbonate panes with silicone. Even in full sun in a dry day it didn’t dry them all the way out.

How do I get the condensation out before I seal in the pane?

It is what it is, mine our the same way. And you’ll never be able to completely seal with silicone, water will find a way in.

mine does this. i havent bothered to seal with ends. i just live with it

  3. Mine have been unsealed for over 3 years. Water comes and goes, and the air contains moisture that will condense under certain conditions. You’ll likely never get it all out.

If you’re worried about panels flying away, consider using additional hardware to mount them, and/or adding additional aluminum purlins.

I have the same one. Silicone helped keep the panels in during storms, but water still gets in. I just ignore it. Hopefully it keeps some out and doesn’t cause too much damage. I’d like to get at least a few years out of it. Have you had yours long? Was wondering how warm it gets during winter

I’m putting mine together now, I siliconed the top and the taped it .

    Vented tape along the bottom

If you don’t seal the ends it tends to dry out faster. When using silicon to help secure them, try and avoid plugging holes and run silicon along face instead. In our commercial greenhouse, the irrigation does go in one section just because the type of head on that irrigation but it drys out fairly quickly as long as it’s not sealed.

  7. Where has everyone found the best quality and price for polycarbonate sheets for a greenhouse ?

Wow, I’m relieved to hear other people have this problem.
For me, I assembled my greenhouse in December when there was a span of no freezing thems so I could use silicone. I ran out of silicone at the end and didn’t seal the tops of the wall panels. Well, it rained and froze again.

My problem now is there is a shit ton of pollen in the channels and it looks terrible, especially for a brand new greenhouse.

Install instructions on most panels (bought separately and not a part of a kit) should include directions on using vent tape, aluminum tape and end caps for panels, to prevent moisture intrusion, condensation, algal buildup etc. I’ve done this per the manufacturer in my greenhouse and have not had issues with moisture intrusion on the panels sealed correctly (we messed up a few, oh well).
