I got the go ahead from my landlord to do as I please with our yard(s) and I want to first tackle this area. I am debating whether to keep the butterfly bush or rocket mountain maple because they are healthy, however i have an urge to fully flatten this plot. I am in Seattle and this area gets good sun light for this half of the year but much less come the darker side of the calender. I have access to a ton of quality compost mixtures and was planning on digging down and replacing/mixing much of the dirt there with what I can get. Do you all A) have advice on if I should plan around these plants, and B) have ideas of fun plants i could go with. I want to attract birds, pollinators and help cultuvate a healithier area for tennents and local fauna.
