Never grown a plant before and wanted to learn with our new place. Soil was all clay so we built raised beds and planted clover to lower lawn maintenance. The christmas tree is in a pot so we can bring it inside and strawberries have taken over the one bed. In the future Id like to build a small pond in the shady corner by the shed and replace the garden arch with a nice wooden one to grow some wisteria on. Not pictured is a rose I planted that's growing up the side of the house on trellis I built! Just wanted to share our progress!

I can’t make it out from the resolution of the pic, but what’s going on with the darker patches of grass. Is that just patchiness? Or is it some kind of lawn alternative?
