It’s just a plant. You can’t really be cruel to it, they don’t have feelings. As long as you like it, that’s all that matters

Sounds like she just wants you to prune it more

Am I missing something? I mean, it looks like it’s healthy. Many succulents get grown out like that. The little rosettes look happy and compact. Just looks like the old discarded and dead growth needs to be cleared out. And/or you chop and prop to start it back at the compact size.

What they mean is that it looks fugly with all those old dried up parts. Give it a clean up!

I need you to film when you take off all the dead leaves or do a stop motion 😂. I want to pluck them so badly😳

Clean that thing up! Lol

You can start a brand new specimen in new soil by taking the cuttings that look healthy. Make sure the soil drains well, and that the container you put it in has holes for drainage as well.

I would be all over this baby and so happy cleaning it up and pulling off all of the old spent leaf matter. Look at all those little green sprouts! I bet you if you clean her up a bit and gave her a little trim, she will bounce back and look amazing! Her green bits already look so promising!

Oooo au naturale.

It’s not killing yet, but it can kill! Remove excess dead leaves, they can accumulate moisture and rot the plant!

And she just stood by and watched.

lol I have two pots that look like this. The worst is they get thrips or mites over the winter. 🙁 the new growth is so tiny… probably should deadhead and replant but ugh it’s work and I don’t need *more* pots of them.
