Ramona CA zone 9b. I was gonna graft the blood orange and grapefruit onto my satsuma orange tree and the key lime and finger lime onto my lemon tree. I’m not sure if I’m supposed to let the cuttings acclimate to my environment, or if there’s a pre-grafting procedure I should be following. I’ve looked up videos on how to graft and the action itself seems fairly simple but I don’t wanna rush into it. I also have a heat wave coming up where I’m at. A lot for my newbie-grafter-self to consider.
Also, side note, wondering why I only received 1 red pulp finger lime cutting

What is this program you speak of? I would like to know more. I would suppose now that you have sprouts, now is time to graft.
If you are not going to immediately use it, keep it in the fridge.
Take them out when you are ready to graft and use them one at a time. They are better in the fridge than outside.
Each cutting may have more than one bud and you are paying per bud. So that maybe the reason on the finger lime.
Im sure you could cut the finger lime cutting in half and then have two tries, just incase one fails, idk much about citrus grafting though, but with cactus you can cut a small of a piece as you want off and as long as you have an areole it will grow
