Okay so I got this African Violet and then quickly discovered it had bugs (Ik i shoulda looked closer bf buying but im still new to plants lol- but thankfully I did keep it isolated)
I went back and discussed w their expert there- Figured out that it was thrips and discussed treatment- We landed on using the insecticidal super soap. I went home and removed the blooms and outer leaves that had damage and sprayed the plant. After a week or so I did one more treatment after repotting it with new soil. Now I’ve started to notice what looks like new damage on the inner leaves as well as some yellowing- Is this more thrips or is it just damage from the treatment? At what point do i give up? Should I just behead the whole thing- will that take care of it ??? Or should i just trash the whole thing 😖

I don’t see trips in the picture but some pesticides can stun violets. I definitely had that issue with fungicides. Could the issue if you don’t see any more pests on it

I’m not seeing any thrip damage. The reason you remove the flowers is because that is what they feed on, and keeping the plant flower free for the life cycle of the thrip is what kills them.
