Maybe pond dye will help algae and if you do not like it the color will fade in a month and is safe for people and critters and comes in many colors
Laura, is there anything you can’t do? I’m so proud of you quickly learning how to work the tractor. As others have mentioned, I’ll bet Aaron is so proud of you for being so adept at anything you set your mind to doing. Love to watch you in the mornings with my coffee – such a wonderful way to start my day!
FUN VIDEO! GREAT JOB PLANTING ~ SO EXCITED. HELLO TO GREG – SO NICE TO SEE YOU AGAIN!
I loved the idea of gardening in the water 💦 QUESTION do your koi lay their eggs in the string algae or do they lay their eggs somewhere else in the dream stream? Just wondering if we would see baby koi eventually??
Laura!!! Way to show all women it’s ok to try something new and think threw a process. You are the bomb digity!!
Awesome video…Greg is always so positive…. You can tell he loves his job. Can’t wait for the Bordeaux to flourish. That loop is one of my favorite places in your So Garden.
You are going to have a trillion Tilapia by next year when they breed like crazy. Just leave the pond alone, it sorts itself out quickly. If you are that bothered, pull it out and shove as much as you can in a plastic basket in an area of the pond that you can tolerate it for a while. It will still take in nutrients, depleting them from the water but will stay put. Have you got water snails? They munch through it.
Greg is so creepy
At-a-girl!!!! so impressed with your ability to drive and maneuver that tractor!!!
Lamium goes like a weed. It has literally overtaken parts of my garden. I just dug out a bunch and replaced it with Nepeta.
Samantha is a girl after my own heart. Raised on a farm with a sister and brother I was the Tom Boy sister! Samantha isn't afraid to get after that string algae! She might of given up after a while, but just hung in there!!! And boys will be boys, you expect the creepy algae to appeal to them! Such a great pond and stream!😊
Love the perceptive way that you design your flower beds and property beautiful love the dream stream 💟🙏🙏💞💟
Laura you’re an inspiration… 🚜 !
Greg the algae tip! Using it in the garden 👌 You’re passion is contagious 🐠🐟
Samantha Grace rolling up her pants, and then getting waist deep to help, was so perfect. Her spirit is so beautifully boundless.
So love watching your various planting projects. Thank you for sharing your life with us. 👋❤️
Did I miss the trimming of the boxwoods? I have been trying to decide if I should trim mine yet or wait for a while.
We have Bald Cypress trees all over San Antonio and they are so pretty. Some are easily 80 ft tall, 100 feet wouldn’t surprise me one bit! If ya’ll ever come to San Antonio; the zoo, the botanical gardens, and the Riverwalk are MUST see for plant people.
RE: Tilapia – they are great at cleaning up algae and planktons but just know that they will die off over winter. They cannot tolerate cold water temperatures.
Oh how neat to see and hear the energetic, Gregg Wittscot! 👏👍❤️❤️❤️
New Gardner in Ohio: The little Evergreens are so cute, but are you worried that Aaron will run them over with the lawnmower? Maybe you should tag the tops of the Evergreens 🌲 when you start to work on that area with cardboard and mulch?
What a fun day! Some of us gardeners look good dressed in dirt smudges. Keeps us healthy. 😊
Love watching your video Laura and your mum is so lovely
Whew! You have had a very busy day!! ♥
Omg your kids are 2 cute. Mine would be throwing the alge at each other.
Oh my, I love how beautiful and full the Lamium filled in that you planted earlier. I am adding some in my yard now that I see that. Can you do mini tours every two weeks in addition to the full tours? I love the tours so much. More frequent summer tours would be amazing. The tours can never be too long. I love when you and Aaron discuss what you like and don't like on the tours. The kids are always adorable!
I talk to myself when trying new things too 😂
Wow memories flooding back of us kids with broom handles twisting green weed out of Moms pound 😳and yes after 3years totally gone but we had fun getting it out , any excuse to be in the pond 🥰.
You looked like the chair at the end was to comfortable to stay in , you did look sleepy 🤗.
Take care xx xx xx
Hi Laura
I had a little pond but it was in full sun too. I had lots of string algae but water plants helped. Water lilies and I had water hyacinth. They are beautiful but multiply like crazy. Then dye in the fall. They helped a lot.
2MILLION is so close I can smell it! LOL love and blessings from Ontario Canada 🙂
My favorite lambium is called Pink Pewter!! So so beautiful!
Wow laura mam …very close to 2M
…🎉wow
Do you think Arron is standing somewhere inconspicuous watching??😂 he’s probably just saying, that’s my Laura!”❤❤
Cześć:)pozdrowienia z Polski:) często oglądam twoje filmiki, piekny ogród i rodzinka:))Jestem ciekawa czy macie problem ze ślimakami a jeśli tak to jak sobie z nimi radzisz? Pozdrowienia:)))))))
Wow, another great video. I am so impressed with Laura driving the 🚜 (I'm afraid 😨 to drive the scooter at Costco 😅)
Tilapia devours string algae? I did not know that 👍
Did you plant the cypress right into the water? We just bought 1 to put near our new pond (1 acre- so gorgeous!) and I was going to put it on the edge, maybe I can scoot it further down into the water?
Don’t worry, your pond is new. It’s not matured yet. The algae will be less than less overtime.
I loved you on the tractor 😂 that was great ❤
What do you fertilize those children with ⁉️✔️❣️🤗😂
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Hey Laura, thanks for that nice video!
I wonder if the bald cypresses can become a problem root wise with the pond liner? It seemed like you planted them in the pond?
Best!
