This is my first graft. How did I do. I used a new box cutter, 91%ISO with every swipe, no sulfur…. Its been 10 days and I took the nylons off. I barly wiggled with it and its on there for sure. Its going to rain. Should I bring this thing in?

One sign the graft took is that the scion will get plump, almost rock hard and then in my experience grafts of TBMB pup pretty quickly.

My mother-in-law’s impulsive reaction to being alone on the patio with TBM-b was to run the tip of her finger from the base, up to and around the tip, tracing it while she looked blankly. I watched her do it from the kitchen window.

Put a solo cup with a little rock taped to it (if there’s wind) or put a Ziploc bag over it and use masking tape to hold it down, Ive been putting solo cups on all my fresh outdoor grafts, they’re doing great 👍

Edit: if the plant is small enough you can use a gallon water jug with the bottom cut off as well

Why? Does TBM grow slow? Mine is growing pretty much as fast as my other trichs.

Graft another one to that basal pup

Looks amazing! Personally I’d remove the pup so that the plant will focus all its energy to the graft…but that’s just me it will be fine either way
