Hi all, in January I cut the top off my FLT – and the original plant (pic 2) has continued to thrive, adding 10+ new leaves starting in March. I put the cut piece (pic 1) in water, it grew a ton of roots (2 inches long), and I planted it in soil / watered it starting in March as well. It’s very healthy but has not started growing any new leaves / branches. Is this just a matter of waiting, or should I do something to it? Light isn’t an issue and it seems healthy in all other ways. Thanks in advance for the tips!

My propped cutting has been in soil for 6 months and it’s only working on a new leaf now. I’d wait!

Fiddles are very sensitive and it probably will not start to grow until next spring or summer. It is probably just gonna go into a sort of pause for now. Don’t forget to fertilize once a week during spring and summer once a month during fall in winter.

Next time instead of rooting it in water if you dip the stock where you cut into rooting powder and stick it in dirt, it grows much faster
