This plant has had a rough time.
– It lost a lot of leaves last year due to underwatering. This is one of its first new leaves since.
– I noticed it has spider mites, so I moved it outside to wash and treat.
Now the leaf is discolored. Is it infestation, overwatering, something else? Would love any advice, thanks!

Looks sun burnt.
The leaf is scorched! While you’re treating it outside you should make sure it doesn’t get any direct sunlight/extreme temp exposure. Taking a plant that is used to indirect sunlight and bringing in into direct sunlight or exposing it to more extreme temperatures will shock the plant and kill it.
