So I've always loved unique plants or flowers that look very special, so I came one day across this one. The bat flower, Tacca chantrieri. I've done a lot of research of how to grow and take care of it, but i haven't found anything about it being toxic for dogs or cats.
I only read that it has a toxic appearance for animals so the plant won't be eaten, in the same way a frog who is nontoxic looks toxic. But I honestly am not sure if it's toxic.

I'm sorry if I have mistakes in my writing, English is not my first language and I have dyslexia.
Thank you for the help already ♡

From a quick Google search: they aren’t toxic in the sense that they contain posion, but they do contain calcium oxalate crystals which can be irritating to cats and dogs.

Many common plants contain calcium oxalate (monsteras, philodendrons, peace lilies, dieffenbachia, etc.) and if an animals bites it, they usually notice the irration and discontinue bothering that plant. They would have to eat a lot of it to be truly harmful. Our old dog randomly ate a bunch of monstera leaves once and it turned out she was attempting to throw up a contact lens case she had chewed on and swallowed while we were out of the house. The monstera made her throw up and she had no ill effects after.

I don’t know if it’s toxic, but it can certainly curse you
