Hello, I’m in the northern Colorado area. I just got sod put in late last fall and this year have some unexpected guests popping up. Few dandelions, but a couple others I’m not sure about.
The first seems to be flowering, and popped up the last two days. I sprayed prodiamine a couple weeks ago, but seem to have been too late.
Also, I recently purchased Trimec 922, would this remediate and demolish this nuisance?

Apply spring pre-emergents when the 5 day average soil temps are in the 50-55F range. Or use [this tracker](https://gddtracker.msu.edu/).
If you have a question about pre-emergents, read the entire label. If you still have a question, read the entire label again.
Pre-emergents are used to prevent the germination of specific weed seeds. They don’t kill existing weeds.
Most broadleaf weeds you see in the spring can’t be prevented with normal pre emergents. You’d need to apply a specialty broadleaf pre emergent in the FALL.

That’s Kentucky bluegrass. It goes to seed sometimes. The spring after being planted would particularly be a time when you’d expect to see that.
