I still absolutely adore my garden, all the more because I did it myself!
Having saved well over £10,000 by doing the garden myself (with a little help from the fam – many hands make light work!), it brings me such a sense of achievement and happiness every time I’m out there, even if I am destroying the decking by using it as a workbench for half my DIY projects 🤭 none of these projects were difficult in the sense that it was mentally challenging, but they were physically challenging! If you’ve not got the money to hire in help, but you’re willing to put in the time & the energy (because it’s hard graft, garden work!), you can absolutely have the garden (or home) you want!

Stunning! Would love to build a pergola but at 66 big builds are becoming too much for me! 😢 xx
I want to build the pergola, but it'd have to be quite large to offer any shade because of the way the sun tracks across the garden
