Depends on how experienced you are. Grandpa’s weeder is a good (though laboursome) option in this case.

If you’re comfortable with a backpack sprayer and have the $$ a combination treatment with Celsius and Certainty will KO most anything in a Bermuda lawn.

I have used two different post emergents and both have given me great results. Celsius or Ortho Weed B Gon with the yellow cap. Celsius seems to have done better but I used weed b gon for a few years and had minimal issues with weeds too.

I would spray them when they’re tall so they absorb more of the spray. Give it a few days and then cut the grass. If you don’t want to use chemicals, get to pulling.

To prevent this in the future look into getting a pre emergent to use in the fall and early spring every year when soil temps hit 55°. Lesco 007 works fine for me but timing is the key to prevention

I use a Fiskars and a 5 gallon bucket. 15 minutes a day when I take out the dog. It is very satisfying.

  4. Fishers 4 prong. Make sure you get the 4 prong, the 3 prong is just frustrating.

I saw the first one and got excited at satisfaction of hand pulling that thick boy all the way out down to the root.

Satisfaction turned to dread when I saw the 2nd photo. Then I reluctantly came to the conclusion that you have 2 options. Chemicals or turn it into a game for your kids. Only get points if you pull the whole thing out. Dampen soil first.
