Is it hydro or is there soil in there?
I dont think the roots will crack the glass, I think It will probably start to die off before anything like that happens, unfortunately. I thinking breaking the glass is going to be your only way to insure its survival in the long run.

If I were you I’d try to cut the bottom half of the skull off at the jaw and then put it in a pot.
Skull half in the dirt would still look awesome.

You can easily get away with loosing 1/3 of the roots and it would likely be fine with 2/3 if that helps.

I would carefully pull the stem up and cut where you can to save the plant. Then fill the skull with warm soapy water and let it soak. Try to remove the pieces of roots with long tweezers. Alternatively, you could cut the plant to transfer it to a new vessel and let the roots inside dry out until they crumble

If you want the plant, break the glass. If you want the glass, kill the plant. If you’re happy as is, leave it alone.

I’d drill a large hole in the bottom where the brain stem sits and then plant this on a prepared Halloween skeleton. Let the roots grow out that hole and start producing leaves across the skeleton. Would be such a cool decoration especially around Halloween.

Have you tried putting dish soap in the neck? Makes it slick and easy to pull when my plants get stuck
