A few years ago I found this little guy at my local food city and quickly snatched it up! I was just starting to get into African violets and wasn’t really worried about having registered hybrids in my collection. I just loved them and how they looked! But eventually after letting it grow out sometime last year it popped out a fully variegated leaf! I admit I kind of neglected her after a bit due to having to plan for a wedding and settling into married life after the fact. Although she looks a bit rough I still have her and would like to propagate her!
I just recently got back into the passion of owning African violets and I’m trying to lean more into registered hybrids. I’m falling deep into the rabbit hole..
Now I know I could never register this NOID due to it being a random Food City African violet and not having the ability to trace its lineage but does anyone know if I could technically eventually pay to have it named if I can get 3+ generations of a stabilized variegation?
