  1. Talk to them. Actually go over there and speak with them

I agree but seed is possible. Although you may be uncomfortable go up to your neighbors and say I have been admiring your lawn, and I wonder if you would share.

Water sod and fertilizer cut at the correct height for your sod type

  4. Is this Long Island? Swear I can tell just from the pic

    Quality grass seed.

    Fertilize regularly.

    Water regularly.

Mow high. This is a big one. So many people scalp the shit out of their lawn and then wonder why it looks like shit.

If I was your neighbor i would add stripes to that lawn just to throw more in your face /s

  7. Easiest and accurate way is to discuss with the neighbor. Will reduce wasted time and money trying to get to that level…..

In this instance, the grass literally is greener on the other side of the fence

  9. As others have said, an opportunity for your neighbor to humble brag! I bet they’d love to chat about it.

But what’s your price point? Is money an issue for you? And how much time do you want to invest it doing the work yourself?

You could ask them, I’m sure they’ll appreciate the compliment. That said, in general the answer is a lot of time and money lol

They would know exactly how they did it. Go ask them.

Neglect it. Don’t water it. Set up an above ground pool on it. Should do the trick.

Pre emergent down October, January, and maybe again late March early April. Fertilize and water (in the morning) during season. I fertilize every 4-6 weeks. Cut high like every 4 days so you’re not taking a lot of grass off at a time. Should start looking good

Mow and water regularly. Also, good grass seed.

You need to prepare your soil first. A lot of time and patience too!

    My recommendation…

Identify what grass you have/don’t have/ would like to have.

get a soil test for that type of grass.

Add whatever the lawn is deficient in.

Figure out how much water your grass likes and then water it to that level.

You should be good to go after that.

Sod current – transplant to your yard – water

Talk to em, just asking is a fat compliment. If they know you’re fighting the same battle they will almost always help you out (Lending equipment, telling you when supplies are on sale, etc)

Get rid of the Tesla and the grass will come back
