Ok so we bought one of these cheap greenhouses from bed bath and beyond. It was the right price and we got an extra 20% off with all the coupons they send. I’ll add all the links in the comments.

For context we live in Maryland. Our property does not have any tree cover so it gets very windy. Also we have no idea what we are doing so please do not take anything as professional advice 🤣🤣

First impressions: it’s crazy light. I am worried about it flying away. It doesn’t come with any type of ground support. We got some shed anchors for extra support and have made some plans to reinforce it inside once it’s up. Fingers crossed.

We were unable to complete it today due to the wind picking up. It bent one of the support beams and tore the hole. We had to move the operation in to the garage but will have to finish it when it’s not so windy.

The flow the instructions aren’t the best. So it was hard to find a good place to stop without out the whole thing toppling. But they are easy to follow and had the wind not been an issue we would have had it up in about 4 hours. We are going to work on it this week and I will continue to update the post.

I highly recommend reinforcing it with 4×4 corner posts cemented into the ground and attach with l-brackets. Also you’ll need some sort of cross bracing (we used electrical conduit) for more structural support (as you found out the wind can twist it quite easily). Also consider screwing down your poly panels. Google “harbor freight greenhouse reinforcing” and you will find a lot of info on this. Enjoy!
