My first Spring in my home and on the other side of my fence is a storm water runoff and the weeds are peeking through. What would y'all recommend is the most efficient way to control them? Clip individually, weed whacker, hedge trimmer, herbicide? Thanks

Prob just lop it off at the fence with a string trimmer. You aren’t going to affect the source.

Looks like raspberry bushes. If you find an answer please for the love of god share it.

Some night time weed killer spray might be in order.

If it’s the city just hose it down with round up

Go on the other side of the fence, clear an area about the with of your mower, and cut it when you cut your grass.

Best way to control weeds through fence:

    From the other side !

For the fence, you may be able to get away with weed block mesh with a paver stone under it. Depending on who owns the other side of the fence, no one would particularly care if the paver stones get pushed under the fence just a bit to prevent them from growing.

If its a storm drain, don’t spray “weed killer” or anything else in there. String trim it, either through the fence or just hop the fucker and scalp the weeds down to the dirt. Or call the entity that owns it and complain and let them do it. But don’t put roundup in a storm drain please.

Some of that appears to be poison ivy. Be careful

  10. Crossbow will kill that woody overgrowth and viney crap. That blackberry will take over before you know it.

Hedge trimmer. Shape them nicely and turn them into a hedge. Harvest raspberries all summer

I don’t have any suggestions for you OP, but I have thoroughly enjoyed the wildly varying suggestions from the comments here.

turn a string trimmer up like you’re edging and whip it down.

  15. Cut em and herbicide along the fence line..herbicide is the only thing that really works or youll constantly be fighting the battle

I use Crossbow on blackberry bushes. You have to cut them back first.

Wait until a good soaking rain runs through. Propane tank and flame thrower. Burn them all. Keep a hose on standby.
