It’s an alocasia Hilo beauty ( technically not an alocasia ) it had really bad root rot when I took it out of its soil. I cut all the rotten roots and cleaned them. It’s in perlite and stratum I’m honestly not convinced this is going to live. I sprayed with neem oil. It has a water reservoir with a wick. Should I add some kind of plant food to the water What else can I do to try to revive this guy? Will the grow light be a good idea for this one or will it be too much?

Just put it straight into water. You don’t need any of the machinations.

You got to experiment if you’re going to learn. This is the third cutting from a plant that wasn’t doing well. I can’t add more than one photo, but I can show you a similar specimen that’s about 3 months old

This one was looking equally as pathetic. I put in to water for a while, had a good outcome.
You have your very own Charlie Brown plant 🥹
