  2. Does Prime ark Freedom HAVE to be planted in ground? I live in a not so permanent residence so if I can pot it, albeit a large pot is it possible?

  3. I’m going to try growing some here in Boise Idaho, we’ve got a really good temp here year round, I grow grapes, strawberries, plums, apricots, blueberries, and huckleberries.

  4. Ordered 3 plants of The prime ark freedom…is there a good chance i will get fruit this year already?

  5. We’ve got a wild blackberry field where I live. Absolutely shreds me when harvesting season comes but the flavors and strength are the best as they come! There’s also wild passion fruit here but that’s besides the point.

  6. My blackberry bushes have started to come back here in Missouri I’m hoping they produce more fruit this year

  7. Where can I buy blackberry plants WITH thorns? All I’m finding is thornless and I’d really like to try planting ones with the thorns as I’ve heard many people say they taste better. 🤷🏻‍♀️
    Thanks!

  8. I have a Triple Crown Florican Blackberry. There are leaves from on the cains that overwintered, the leaves are purple and I have new buds sprouting, should I remove the over wintered purple leaves?

  9. I’ll give 3 easy steps that have produced abundant harvest of giant fruit set, plant in ground, heavy mulch with leaves, pee once a day on the mulch. I had issues with my stalks breaking in the wind until I started daily urinating once-twice a day around my bushes. Now that I have more bushes I don’t have to worry as much about where I am when I have to go pee

  10. I just picked up two Freedoms from my local nursery, I can't wait to get them in the ground 😊

  11. many my leaves tip turned brown and burns..could you tell me what to do, please 😭

  12. I got some blackberry plants from a friend. They grow like bamboo, and are super thorny. I think I will try to transplant some into a hedgerow. These plants creep into the lawn and are virtually bulletproof… maybe literally…

  13. We recently moved (6b to 6b) and we dug up our Arapaho and triple crowns. I pruned in the winter and now only one of the 3 plants show any signs of life…. maybe I overpruned ( probably) for the purpose of transporting them in the move. A lot of you seem experienced so I'll throw this out there…. what do I do now??

  14. I wanna know how your blackberries are not completely destroyed by birds? Our prime ark freedoms have to be well protected with netting here in Illinois.

  15. Just wondering, do the Prime Ark Freedoms spread out like other varieties via suckers? Are they very invasive or would it be wise to plant in ground?

  16. 555 is the incorrect ratio. 555(10-10-10) is almost always the incorrect fertiliser for your soil.

  17. I currently have nineteen blackberry seedlings that came from a rotting berry I buried in my garden one day as an experiment. Once I noticed my biggest seedling started developing thorns, I was curious what variety it could be. That rotting berry came in a store-bought container (I think Driscoll's) from my grocery store.

I'm concerned about where to eventually put them in my backyard as I wouldn't have enough room for all nineteen. Seeing how you have yours planted closer together than what I read, that makes me relieved that they really don't require so much space. I believe you also mentioned shallow roots, so I assume they could do well in pots.

  18. looks to me as tho your black berry's could use a traditional raspberry support structure
also if you let those canes grow to touch the ground they will give you more plants by just by putting the tip of the cane in a pot full of dirt. let it root over the winter, then in the early spring you'll have a nice new plant to add to your berry patch or gift to someone

  19. Wonderful video! So I am new to blackberries and I will be interested in the Erect, Thornless, Primocane varieties, and the one question I have is how far back do I trim the canes when November comes. Do I leave a foot or so? Many thanks!
