Hello! I was just wondering whether my VFT pot (which came with the plant) is good for bottom watering? I wish I could use a bigger pot but my windowsill is really the only spot available that it will get the most direct sunlight. Anyways, as per the image, there are small holes on the side of the pot, but none on the bottom. It has been maybe 30 minutes since I filled the tray and I believe that it has already consumed half of the water. But I am just nervous for my child, so if there are not enough holes then please someone tell me šŸ¤

p.s. if something seems wrong about my child, please go ahead and tell me because I’m new to Venus fly traps. (sorry for the long post šŸ¤šŸ’™) thanks so much again šŸ™‚

Some people say it should always be sitting in water, but others say it’s ok to let it be empty for a day or two, especially indoors where evaporation happens at a slower rate than outdoors.

Watch how your Vfts respond to the different watering methods you use and adjust as needed, including to have a bigger bottom tray if needed.
