Carefully remove all the dead leaves and debris from the base. Get some liquid feed and add measure to 5 litres of water and water in and then add another 5 litres and water again. The soil is probably spent so I would mulch with a good few handfuls of good quality compost before I water and after removing all the dead leaves. Then observe.
