Those Sweet Gum spurs in your garden will eventually bust open and have thousands of fluffy, easy to blow in the wind, seeds. They will sprout everywhere. I actually damaged one of my fingernails permanently digging in the dirt and being stabbed underneath my nail. The nail now grows split. I paid to cut it down. Save yourself before it's too late. They will sprout in multiple areas.

Loved the garden tour. Your garden already looks so full of food! Even getting soil or compost in bulk is so expensive. It cost me $500 for 3 1/2 cubic yards a few years ago. It would probably be almost double by now. It took me over 100 wheelbarrow trips to move all of that dirt (which took me out of commission for a few days!) so I'm totally with you on buying bags of soil.
How do you water your garden? I don't have drip irrigation or a rain catchment system. I'd like to use rain water rather than city water. The prices are so high for rain barrels!

Keep in mind, you don't have to wait for lettuce to "head" before harvesting. Many leafy varieties do very well and are VERY productive if you harvest the bottom leaves every week or so.
