That's cannibalism for the chicken to eat their eggs.😢 She may not be well. I love your videos Asia. ❤
I have NO luck with starting peppers. Have tried for years. I just buy them now.
Have you experimented with direct sow verses seed starting? I have had better luck with direct sow for cucumbers and zinnias.
If you have a Hydroponics store near you, you can get great perlite and vermiculite at MUCH cheaper prices! Fortunately, I live in Denver where we legalized Mary Jane years ago and the hydroponic stores came in quick! Great stuff at great prices!
I just read that chickens eat eggs if their calcium or protein is low. Also if they accidentally break an egg and get a taste for it, they will develop a taste for the eggs. I hope this helps.😊
I had 5 year old Rudbeckia Indian Summer and thought, I am just gonna plant them all because only a few will probably germinate. Fast forward: I now have a ZILLION seedlings!
Chip Drop is a GREAT option! I do it once or twice per year.
Just an fyi I just bought the seed starting kit (came back in stock) and several grow bags from bootstrap farm because of you. They asked what YouTube channel did I hear about them and I mentioned your channel. I’m also a 7b zone newbie to gardening more than tomatoes and jalapeños. So looking to you for guidance 😀 keep them coming!
You’re good! Cheap compost manure is just as fine! I’ve found big fat healthy worms in cheap kind!
I prefer vigoro myself.
My stakes and straps broke too when I had that three days of snow I brought some garden staples and stuck them back in and tucked the bottom but I stapled the tent to the ground. I just planted my 4 week stuff too no zucchini tho and I finally got a hydroponic system for my kitchen herbs can’t wait for something to grow how long does it usually take herbs to sprout in a system
Hey Asia, I am not sure if my overwintered bell peppers are alive. We went ahead snd planted them inground… hoping they will live.
Hey! I just wanted to touch on a more cost efficient way to buy soil, if it's available to you. I used bags last year as well, and it was costly. This year I learned that MOST local nurseries have loose organic garden soil with a neutral pH, and it's very cheap. The only thing is they usually sell it by meter or half meters (1/2 meter equates to one scoop on the tractor basically lol), and you'll have to have a way to transport it yourself. If you don't have a truck, it's worth the money saved to see if a friend or family member will help you to get it. I'd suggest laying a tarp down in the back of the truck bed if you are able to get loose soil. It will help with the clean up for sure! I got a whole truck bed full of dirt for like $80. I spent more on bags last year! If you have excess dirt, just pile it somewhere and lay that tarp over it with some bricks to weigh it down and you'll have soil for anything else you may need it for! Hope this information works in your favor ❤.
me too but it getting to be too much, but walmart have a good one too
Thank you! I hide like immediately when u broke down the prices..I am not married to black cow any longer. Easiest break up 😂ever..welcome timberline.
Just found your channel absolutely love it everything about it: the transparency, details, your charming accent, the way you talk to us like we’re besties, and ofc talking about pros cons and challenges! Ty for this content!
That compost works. That's all I used when starting out last year while making my own compost soil. So may tomatoes, okra, sweet potatoes and beans.
Careful with that Perlite, Asia. It's recommended that you either wear a mask when handling it, or wet it down to prevent inhaling all that dust. It's nasty stuff to the lungs. 💜🌞🫁
Hey Asia, enjoyed yet another video. Was wondering what size your grow bags are? Do you get many potatoes from them?
Hello, I'm new to your channel …I'm a gardener too and I love the vibe girl. Long nails, and doing what you want.
Good Morning Asia
Black Kow is cheaper at ACE!
Those purple bags are so beautiful 💜
I love your videos, Asia. I am glad I found you
I will never use Kelloggs filled 2 bed with that stuff cuz it was on sale and those beds out of all my other bed (17 beds in total) did horrible im still amending them to fix them.
Hello Miss Asia now I am going to try to do a garden I do not know how to even start a garden I am a older woman wish me a miracle
Why not just have topsoil and compost delivered? Seem like it will be cheaper and you will get more for your money
I love your videos, you inspire me🌱 keep going! Also, can we seed swap and/or can you please send me some of your herb varieties like hyssop etc.
Hey gardener, I'm an urban gardener in Philly 7b. I've grown produce and trees in grow bags for 5 years today. You should be able to get free compost and mulch from your local Fairmount park or city park. You can go back as much as you want for free. I grow in my city free compost, perilite, toms fertilizer, worm poop, and peat moss. I just top off 1/4 of my grow bags to refresh my sweet soil once a spring time 😅🙏😇🤝
Hi Asia, thanks for the inspiration. I have a small garden and this is my second year. The first year was a disaster. I’m trying again. Never give up. Each year we learn something different. I enjoy watching your authenticity.
New subber….glad you showed up in my YT feed ….just purchased 2 of the 10 packs of grow bags – green and purple….love the colors in your garden.
Now to go get some potting mixes…..you have inspired me…..didn't have the wherewithal to garden last year. Was cleaning out a family hoard, Stage 5, the year before that, so didn't garden in 2023 either ….trying to get back into the swing of things…..
Love your labels, where did you get them
Were you get the bags from
