how my how my lamium/chickweed combo that grew naturally around my unmoved pot this winter looks at me as i consider low maintenance ground cover options
I have spent SO MUCH MONEY on groundcovers over this past half a century and last year it occurred to me that the maligned ground ivy smells great, has lovely flowers in the spring, stand up to drought, does not get sick and does not attract pests. This year it’s going in the hayrack window boxes along with the flowers and I MAY just let it go nuts in some areas of the garden beds as long as it isn’t smothering anyone else.
