MORE ABOUT ME

I’m Anne of All Trades. In NASHVILLE, I have a woodworking, blacksmithing and fabrication shop, a selection of furry friends, and an organic farm. Whether you’ve got the knowledge, tools, time or space to do the things you’ve always wanted to do, everything is “figureoutable.”

I became “Anne of All Trades” out of necessity. With no background in farming or making things, I wanted to learn to raise my own food, fix things when they break and build the things I need.

12 years ago I got my first pet, planted my first seed and picked up my first tool.

My goal is to learn and share traditional techniques and skills while showing my peers how to get from where they are to where they want to go, how to do the things they are passionate about, and what can be done TODAY to engage their own community and grow deep roots.

Whether it’s carving spoons, making my own hand tools, restoring my antique truck or growing heirloom tomatoes, the farm and workshop definitely keep me busy and support – whether financially through Patreon, through shopping my affiliate links, through buying merchandise, plans or project videos, or even just liking, commenting, and sharing my content with others helps me GREATLY to keep producing quality content to share.

  1. Have you ever tried Seedtime? It's a app that can help you know when to start planting your seeds in any are and it's free. Sweetie 😘 I love learning from you 💞

  2. I just have to plant spinach radish peas and cilantro at the first minute possible. Because salads

  3. Can you do a step-by-step guide on using wood chips? I kinda get it, but I'm still missing something, lol.

  4. We are getting ready to plant our cold season crops here on the Adelaide plains of South Australia. Super different climate – not watering is not going to be a thing for us here, but still lots to pick up from your channel. Thanks Anne!

  5. YouTube removed my subscription ! ☹️ thank goodness the spring algorithm brought you back to me 😭❤️ always have the most digestible information and good vibes

  6. It's taken me five years to learn about sowing depth, light and temperature requirements. As well as learning not to overwater. I just made a few direct sowings as it's been so warm, but generally anything you sow a month from now will catch up anything sown now.

  7. The most helpful gardening advice I’ve ever heard!!!! Doing all 5 of these destructive things. Now I know why my garden hasn’t been very successful!

  8. What about when the local extension office actually recommends earlier planting than a general garden guide does? For reference, I'm in upstate SC, so we already can plant sooner than a lot of areas. For example, peas are recommended to be planted Feb 1-15 by the extension office guide, while the general garden guide says 4 weeks before the average last frost date, which is still 1.5 weeks away – quite a difference in planting times!

  9. I wonder your thoughts on Milk Jug winter sowing. I've found someone up in Alberta who has been successfully doing it, i kinda love the longterm laziness of it! 😊

  10. The best lettuce I've ever grown was in a raised bed one winter, the last late snow fall I tossed my lettuce seed on top of the snow. I swear it was the best lettuce I've ever grown. As the snow melted the seeds were worked into the soil and were watered beautifully.

  11. Hello!! Watching your videos has gotten me super excited about doing my first garden, which will be square foot gardening. I live in Bellingham WA, so when you reference Seattle, I get it 😂 Have a great day & thank you for being my hilarious (I have a dry humor too)garden guide. Hi Adam & Animals.
