I have added some help in my garden: rabbits! they eat most green things. their dry manure is easy to spread and the wet manure enriches my compost of the things they cant eat. the nutrients are in the same balance as regular fabricated bought fertilyser. if you breed them you can also provide your own meat. do be aware rabbits are incredible cute and it is easy to get attached to some that were meant for the pot. the manure is not good for hot beds as it doesnt produce much heat.
Edible jungle sounds great 👍 I also follow permaculture princilpes and I like to have a cottage garden as well. The flowers I can grow in the ground but food I have to grow in containers or raised beds because the garden is on a former parking and the soil can be contaminated. People have been gardening there more than 40 years before I bought the garden but those days people didn't care about these kind of things. I have to try to make the best out of it for us, the pollinators and the wildlife.
Your gardens are always so beautiful! I have seven small raised garden beds…4 ft. x 3 ft. by 1 ft. I plan on getting more this year. I also have a small 8 ft. x 6 ft. greenhouse that was finished last year. Where I live, the weather gets so cold in the winter. I could not grow anything in the greenhouse unless I heat it, but it's too costly to do so. I am an elderly person, but I won't give up my gardens! They are what I enjoy in life.
Tks for wonderful video !! you are a insperation for me , i start garning at 48 because i have felt that something is missing in my live and i love it now and with my father guidance that are 82 right now i am lerning a lot with him and ofcourse with you !!! Tks and regards from Portugal
This is very much how I garden. I call it SIAS – suck it and see! I leave things to throw seeds, keep seeds for next year from tomatoes, and take seeds or vegetables from my shopped veg too. Last year wasn't great, but I still have produce in jars and bottles, so not that bad. Right now I have beetroot and jerusalems, I dug up two days ago, roasting; and my breakfast omelette had dandelion leaves, winter purslane, ground elder and sorrel in it – all from my tiny plot. Joy
I don't thank you for your knowledge, my friend and I, how is it like there are types of women and men? What about flowers, they turn their backs? Thank you for your knowledge, it also helps a lot
Thank you for the Black-eyed Susans at 0:18–0:21. And thank you for all that you do for this community, and all in that gorgeous Welsh accent. Your book, The Permaculture Garden, which I pre-ordered last month, is being shipped in just over two weeks, according to the book elves at Barnes & Noble – looking forward to a good read upon arrival. You, sir, are the best. Cheers!
Mr.richard…is that kitchen garden for home grow? The material of yours still heavy to me. Could you make everything easier for us…for less painful. Thank you….❤💐

That's 1291 square feet for my fellow Americans. That's pretty big for a backyard city garden – as big as a 1950's ranch house 🙂
I live your garden and videos! Thanks for sharing your experience

Beautiful, beautiful garden. Yes, the idea of companion planting is too hard to keep straight in one’s mind.
Beautiful ❤
