You can tell a lily by the 6 tepals in two ranks of three, and the six stamens in the middle (usually with large anthers on the ends)

In case you have cats, lilies are extremely, *deadly* poisonous to them. Even licking some pollen off their fur while grooming or drinking the water lilies were kept in can cause fatal kidney damage. If you have cats, please remove these from your home and wipe down surfaces where they were kept.
