Hello,

I've never seen this and am a little worried my favorite PPP is either stuck or accidentally put out two leaves at once. Any suggestions? It's been like this for around 10 days daily mistings to try and release it.

They do this all the time. Give it some more time to see if it can work itself out on its own.

  2. Try putting it in the bathroom for a few days if light levels allow it, she needs humidity. Unfortunately, misting doesnt do as much as we like to think it does

It is and isn’t okay, but this is common PPP behavior. When mine starts backing up like this I use a warm damp rag and wrap it around, i may need to gently wiggle the leaves free but it helps a lot

I usually give mine a warm shower to help it unfurl

These dramatic PPPs 😆 This is common and i think the consensus is that it’s lacking in humidity. Consistent higher humidity helps a ton. I have to watch every new leaf from the start and keep a wet paper towel on the new leaf spot part of the time to help, and a humidifier that helps keep things over 30% but ai think these like a little higher humidity. Good luck!!

I always have to gently help mine out otherwise this would happen 😅

Mine does this almost every leaf. I now have it in my Rudsta green house cabinet so hopefully humidity will improve the toughness of the stems. When it gets stuck I run my finger nail along the edges of the split to make sure it isn’t stuck together and gently coax it out. Over 7 or 8 leaves I’ve only broken 1 small one off, and it’s already growing a new stem

I’ve released stuck leaves by spraying with water and gently coaxing it out with a small paintbrush
