Always had a problem with crabgrass/goosegrass in this section of my parents lawn. I hadn’t visited in a while and it was completely taken over by the crabgrass. So I killed it a little while ago and just been spot treating new weeds that pop up. The crabgrass/good grass keeps trying to come back!

Anyways I was wondering what anyone’s thoughts were on seeding to fix this now in the Spring. Is this a good idea or should I just wait till late summer/fall? I feel like I’m seeing so many conflicting things online.

Anyways, I’m in Souther CA, in the IE area and it’s a tall fescue lawn. It’s been pretty warm lately and the lawn is actively growing. Should I give it a go? Also any tips on keeping the grassy weeds away after seeding would greatly appreciate
