With all three children out for a little adventure with my parents, I have a rare afternoon to myself. I start by tidying up the house so I can fully enjoy these quiet hours—contemplating curtains for the kitchen, dreaming about this year’s garden, and sneaking in a little thrifting.
Join me for a slow, simple day filled with little joys—some secondhand finds, a moment to breathe, and a well-earned slice of rhubarb crumble pie. ☕🍂
Let me know—would you go for cafe curtains or full-length? And what flowers are you hoping to grow this year? 🌿💛

Love these quiet moments you got to yourself!
Just watching your most recent video. Hands down I think the neutral patterned curtains are the clear winner:) Thanks for sharing and asking your viewers for their opinion.
I really love the coffe ones but I can't imagine how sad will be every moment in there without the outside view so I will choose the simple ones 🤎
2x
I have cafe curtains and love being able to look outside whilst also having a bit of privacy 😊
❤
Option 3- patterned curtains 💯 thanks for another beautiful video ❤
Patterned
Patterned curtains.
You should write a book. You have a lovely way with words.
I love option 3 for your kitchen curtains. Lovely video today, Bethany. Have a wonderful weekend. Take care. ❤
what a perfect day ❤
❤❤
It’s wonderful vlog. It really calms me down. Love ❤😊
Hi Bethany,
I love your rod with hooks next to your window, maybe this to match: a black rod with curtain clips, then a simple lightweight curtain that doubles over at the top with lace on that section. Looking forward to seeing what you choose 😊 Have a lovely weekend.
I’ve hung my cafe curtains at the top of window you get the privacy but can still enjoy looking at the garden.
Another lovely vlog❤
Personally I would go with the normal/long floral curtains.
It adds a touch of charm and colour but nothing too garish for your home pallette. The longer ones that take up the whole of the bottom window will mean your actually losing more sight of the sunlight/garden than you would like and who wants that in a smaller space?
And also are more likely to attract mould from condensation touching the edge/bottom of the windowsill. Food for thought🤗
You're not being tight…charity shop prices are getting ridiculous (IMO) but maybe that's becasue there are some C.E.O'sat the head of these charities who now earn £400,000 per year…I kid you not, you can check this out!
I came across a Pinterest image of cafe curtains but they were pushed to the sides like the full length ones. I thought it was a really lovely look.

Gingham patterned curtains would look amazing ❤
Thank you for this lovely video ❤ I just adore the wonderful books you buy. I wish I could find something similar in my country. They are magical. I feel now more ready for the spring 🌸🌸🌸
The pattern neutral curtains look best to me. You can close for privacy when needed.
I like option 3 – neutral coloured curtains with a pattern ❤
❤❤❤
It’s so nice to have a little bit of time to yourself sometimes. That rhubarb crumble cake looked delicious!
I liked the patterned curtains the most as you could see out onto the garden better and also have a little colour with the pattern on the curtains but I also liked the idea of another of your followers who said about putting the café curtains at the top of the window rather than the bottom, it may be worth getting a mock up of that to compare it to the other ideas 🙂
