Ok I bought this pilea peperomioides February 12 to keep in my office. It's been so sad since and dropped at least 6 leaves and has a few more turning brown. At first I thought it got shocked from the cold in my office windowsill so I moved it down to the desk but still dropping leaves.

My office faces north, is pretty high up and gets decent light. Can't really have a grow light at work but could take it home to sit under my lights if that's the issue?

I did notice that it was probably too wet – usually when I come in on Monday all my other plants are dried out and thirsty but this guy would still be wet. Pulled it out today, got rid of excess dirt and added some succulent mix. It was also a little root bound – do you think i should get a bigger pot?

Just frustrated because these are supposed to be "so easy" but mine is being a butt while my "harder" plants are thriving in the same environment.

Appreciate any tips.

Trading the soil out was a good idea, maybe it is too drafty in that area? I’ve had plants struggle because they were near where AC was blowing that I didn’t realize

Plants tend to droop when they move into a new place, you sound like you know about plant keeping so maybe that’s all?
