Build a vegetable garden. Seems like you get great sun and I think it’s an underrated activity for kids. My 2 year old is obsessed with the plants especially tomatoes.
lol at that house and property being in the “boonies”. One persons boonies is my suburb.
OK, to revise I’m not trying to talk smack. This may be the boonies as far as he is concerned. All I’m saying, is it’s not, and find the right term to use if you don’t want the internet to roast your city dwelling self.
You have some serious skills, damn. I’ve binge watched loads of your videos. Fellow diy family over here in the UK. But you are next level with this. You should totally create different sections in your garden, zone it out and have fun different areas. Have you seen those swing circles for fire pits? Basically all the chairs are around the pit in a circle hanging like swings
We also built these tray to cover the access points for the services and we put grass in it, grass doesn't have deep roots so it was perfect. Just one thing since you have a huge garden.. Don't scrimp on the size of your shed, make one where you can have a proper rack system to keep everything neat. The base looks a bit small. Remember as the kids grow so does the size of their equipment. That was where we went wrong, we ran out of space by at least half by the time they hit 12 😅.. Do it properly the first time, will save you effort later on.
I want to buy a house but the las Vegas market is flooded with Californians coming here and paying 10times the normal price, thinking it's so cheap. So where did you move where you could afford the house?
Try something rather unknown in DIY – it is called 'planning' added with another unknown: 'research' … but what am I talking about – doing something without any thinking is actually as american as apple-pie .. (that is not american) lol
Dude is straight STUPID 😂. Whats gonna happen to all that concrete when the septic tank has to be replaced? They dont last forever. Yup. All that concrete will get broken apart, not to mention anything built on top the concrete. Dude just wasted all that money 😂. Yeah, making the lids accessible is the right way. But the real right way is NEVER BUILDING ANYTHING ONTOP OF A SEPTIC TANK.

That's a lot of backyard! Try to preserve your green space, it's too beautiful to cover up!

Now time to install a pool!
Awesome back yard space true American house
Probably could have just moved into a local suburb with a higher black population and afforded this house. But you know… we know why you didn’t.
A suburban neighborhood with paved streets being called the boonies is crazy
Personally, I’d hit it with an angle grinder (with tests first) to try making the mess ups blend in more.
lol if you think that’s the boonies you ain’t been to the boonies
The septic tank and bed cannot have anything above them. Evaporation needs to be able to occur.
Get what you pay for…fkn mexicants
I do septic work for a living. Have fun paying someone to rip all of that concrete out when that tank gives out🤣

You are not in the boonies

Which state is this? I'm guessing one of the Carolinas??
So overall, how much was the project? From the patio to the upcoming where the shed is gonna be?

Acid wash the slab. Then color it using a concrete stain. Or antiquing they call it. Super easy to use many different colors.
No, first trees.

City slickers
Plant some trees

I can't imagine anyone thinking it is OK to build anything over a septic tank. Wow.
