(Im sorry I don’t post to reddit often/at all and didn’t know how to add the text to my images)

I’ve been growing this avocado tree from seed for 2 and a half years now, it’s taller than I am. It’s spending it’s last winter indoors with me and I plan to plant it this summer. Within the last 2 weeks, it put out a whole new set of leaves but all the new leaves have gone droopy and are curling on themselves. He gets dragged into my shower for a nice long soak once a week so I don’t suspect it’s under-watering, but the soil also doesn’t feel overly wet. He has his own grow light and my room is always 70 degrees minimum. This is the first time he’s done this and I’m really attached to him 🙁 Any advice would be appreciated!

Have you put a nitrogen source on it? The leaves look like “claw leaf”. A sign of too much readily available nitrogen.

  3. What’s the humidity like in that room? I have a potted avocado that I started from seed probably 6 years ago or so and I’ve only finally made it happy this winter by keeping the humidity at least 50% and watering it much more often than I’m comfortable with. Like twice a week at least. They do require a lot of water to be happy. Also, they require a lot of sun as well, especially during the winter months. I know mine is happy with the light when the new growth has a slight reddish blush to it
