What should I do with my Pothos? It’s definitely getting crowded in my planter. Recently noticed some root breakage and scarce vines, but I’ve had this baby for nearly 2 years and want to try my best to save it. I think the move is to repot and separate it, but I would love some input!

That pot is already enormous for an aroid, what makes you think it needs more room? How are you seeing this “root breakage” exactly?
You’re having breakage because you have the wrong soil, and the stems are staying wet for too long. Definitely do *not* need a bigger pot. You need to amend your soil, and probably choose a smaller pot once you see how big / small your rootball is.
I think it’s a pretty plant! But def needs a smaller pot. I think it’s getting leggy because it’s searching for more light. Perhaps try putting it in a different window with brighter filtered light. The roots are probably struggling to breathe in that soil which is why you’re seeing breakage. The goal with soil is to create more air pockets so the roots can breathe and grow between watering. Think the chunkier soil the better. Adding more perlite can help with this. I’ve had great success with ‘Grow Queen Craft Aroid Potting Mix’ from Amazon. It has a little bit of everything you need ready to go out of the bag. Importantly, only water when the soil is dry. Good luck!
Your plant doesn’t look like there’s anything wrong. Pothos love to climb and the leaves will get larger with proper support. Get it a moss pole or add a trellis for it to climb and it’ll be really happy.
