First time owning a riding mower. I currently have it in the garage, but need to move it to park my car in there. Is this an acceptable place to store it?
I like keeping my things nice. Raid drips under the deck and would land on the mower. But it’s better than being parked with nothing over it. I also have a tarp, maybe I could put that over the mower too? Thanks
If you tarp it, you run the risk that mice will start nesting in there. You gotta do what you gotta do, and tarp is better than no tarp, but I’d consider periodically taking off the tarp and opening up all the places where mice can hide (engine compartment, under the seat, etc.) to look for evidence of mice.

If that is the only option then use a high quality tarp to put over your mower. Basically you want to avoid constant rain, hail, sleet, etc hitting and staying-on your lawn mower. It can be in various temps but cant stay wet all the time. I have a shed with a large over hang roof on one side to store stuff under it (mower & various yard tools)

A tarp may be fine but you have the space. I would go for something like this
Not necessarily that specific one but you get the idea

Leaving stuff in the elements will cause problems. The weather plus rodents= problems. Do what you can to avoid both.

put up 2 walls of t1-11 and it will have its own lil garage.

I wonder if you could just build some kind of a metal roof under the deck.

They sell riding mower covers — probably the cheapest solution.

I think you would be fine storing outside with a tarp over it, but you could run into an issue with wildlife or rodents trying to make a home inside. I suggest placing a tamper proof rodent station nearby.

Yes you can put it there. That’s what I did with my mower in a previous home where I had a deck like that.

They sell lawn tractor covers for your specific mower.

Sure, that is fine. I’d pick up a $30-40 cover on amazon though

If you are not capable of building a small shed, buy one. You could also buy a canvas cover for it, though that won’t stop the mice from building a nest in the drivers seat, or even eating the wiring insulation.

I leave mine out in the open all year round… Yeah that’s fine
