I did find this more straightforward article on it with a quick look that seems rather informative. It is a PDF download, I hope that’s alright, but I found it super interesting.

There’s also a lot of videos on YouTube and a bunch of other pages to do it as well.

If you have no other flowers or anything to cross it with you will also have to look into storage. (Usually IF I REMEMBER RIGHT OKAY IM NOT PERFECT lolll i think it stays good ~6-8 months in the fridge)

If you Google “Philodendron pollen collection” there’s a huge number of resources for it, everyone has their own method and in case no one else wanders into this post I’ll leave you with what I can haha. In basic terms you need to wait for the right time and scrape/brush the pollen off and store it. Many use a paint brush for this and store in plastic baggies. 🙂

I’m still looking into it as it’s definitely a dream to make some fun hybridised plants!!! Wishing you luck!!!

LUCKY DUCK OMG!!!! Collect that pollen and make a hybrid with another plant of yours or see if you can find someone you can trade pollen with!!!!

If you collect the pollen you can freeze it and potentially use it later on the same or a different philodendron

My silver sword bloomed months ago and they’re still not open. I got so excited but it’s taking forever.
