Hi Friends,
It’s a short video on potato cultivation. Potato needs earthing up twice during its cultivation. Once at 21 days after planting potato tubers and other is at 42-45 days after planting. Such earthing up helps to grow tender potato tubers under soil. If earthing up is not done properly the tubers get exposed to sunlight and become green in colour. Such green tubers are not suitable for edible purposes. Irrigation channel thus formed also eases irrigation through channel.
Here the farmer was loosening soil by spading just before earthing up. You can see other short videos on earthing up in our channel. There are many such videos. If soil gets loosened, it eases subsequent earthing up. Please watch and enjoy.
