Today I’m doing the big spring clean of the containers outside our front door. These plants are in full shade, with only the smallest glimpse of sunshine in mid-summer. I’m also planting some Euonymus Standards that will add some architectural height and colour to this area.

I don't know why I bother planting Pansies and Violas as they never last long in my containers either Annette. I buy them every year as I love their pretty colours and don't want to feel like I'm missing out. I can have them looking lovely one day then almost overnight they get munched around the base and the whole head comes off in my hand! Your containers look really nice and adding the feed and extra compost really does them good.
Its amazing how good evergreen pots look once they have had a tidy up. I do the same with mine, adding a couple of pots of Tulips to give the pop of colour.
Thank you again for the happy intro music. It just shouts Cotto Verdi to me and set me up for watching 🙂 I don't like the flowers of senecio either. I feel mean as they are such sunny little yellow daisy flowers, but……! Just looking at your pot behind and see it has Japanese anemones in. I didn't know they could be grown in pots- my front garden is North facing, (almost), so I think I will adopt your idea. I love Japanese anemones, especially the white ones. I have Honorine Joubert and Whirlwind.Your pots are looking so smart now- already for their new colourful friends, whatever they may be. Happy gardening 😃 x
As always i so enjoy a peek in your garden! So inspiring!
Looks so nice and tidy now! Look your collection of pots. So eclectic and it all blends together so well x
Your front planters are so very pretty! Your home is lovely, too. Thank you for this video…❤
I really like your wicker planters Annette. How,do they last out in the weather? My garden is containers now we have downsized. 🌺
Absolutely gorgeous ❤
Can i recommend a fatsia for your shady corner. They do very very well in pots and it will make a magnificent statement in the corner behind all the small pots as it grows taller and taller each year. Xx
