Will keep it inside for seedlings, and put it outside when the weather makes sens (zone 5b).

Will add grow lights and heat mats this week-end.

I am very excited!

  1. I’d like a similar one in my sunroom. Where did you get this one from?

Not really a point of having it inside unless you have kids/pets or a really cold house. They do much better on open racks with oscillating fans to strenthen their stems. The humidity in there with no fans will increase mold and dampening off.

I would also suggest getting heavy duty anchors when you put that one outside. The ones supplied aren’t gonna be strong enough (trust me).

Some tips, get those foam pipe insulation tubes. Put them on the top pipes of the greenhouse. Why? If you don’t the sun will heat the pipes so hot they will melt the plastic. Took me two lost plastics to realize this was the answer. Next, stake down the green house or put tubs on the bottom pipes and fill with water to weigh it down. You don’t want it flying away. 16 hours a day for lights and mats. As soon as plants sprout remove heat from mats and take off domes. Also use the lights from the start when you sow. All of a sudden they sprout one day and you don’t notice and they become leggy.

I hope you don’t have cats. Mine utterly wreaked that same one we had.

Put a tarp underneath to protect your floor from condensation

I think the greenhouse should go outside right, otherwise its a grow tent?

The moisture in the greenhouse will likely cause damage to your floor. I’d recommend using a tarp on the floor.

It’s quite heartbreaking used outdoors when it collapses and you’re spending 2 days digging seedlings out of the mud! Not safe outside in my opinion unless you have a really protected area from wind and heavy rain.

I got a little one like this for my patio room. I start seeds in there and it still gets cool this time of year so hopefully with lights and some sun and mats and warm humidity I can get started earlier! Was it easy to assemble?

A tent or Cold frame that you put indoors. Hooray for people not knowing basic definition of words.

  11. Fun! Mine collapsed outdoors in the fall during a wind storm. Lesson learned but it was a fun summer haha. My first lesson learned with these is that they get blazing hot in the summer when the door is zipped. I killed a few plants this way when I was at work one day 👎 so don’t be like me and make sure you unzip that bad boy in the mornings.

Oh cool, I have the exact same tent on my balcony. It has already withstood several winter storms here. However, I have to say that I secured the tent to the balcony with straps so that at least it doesn’t fly away. Besides that, it is extremely sturdy, has now lasted for the second year, and is currently protecting my olive trees from the cold winter temperatures.
