My friend’s plant doesn’t look too well. Should i cut the leaves off? Or just the brown spots? It got plenty of light but probably way too little water. I appreciate your help!!
I have a struggling baby too.. following this thread!

What type and How old is the soil and what water do you use.

Is that taracotta? This is a tropical plant that loves humidity, both in soil and air. Teracotta sucks out the water from the soil, and is thus not suitable for tropical plants. I prefer to use them for my succulents. I would not cut off the leaves as the plant uses whatever greens there are left for photosynthesis. It is a bit elongated, which indicates it would be happier with even more light than it gets right now. I would repot to a plastic pot with drainage holes, and put that in an ornamental non-porous pot, place it in a sunnier spot, and make sure the soils stays humid (NOT soggy!!!). Remember to fertilize. It would be even happier to have a humidifier near by. As new, healthy leaves start to fill in, you may evaluate wether you want to cut away the damaged leaves or not, for aestetic reasons.
