Just got my grow lights in and could use some suggestions on acclimating my monsteras to the new lighting! I’ve attached my previous lighting conditions in the second photo(s). My questions are as follows:
-since I just got my albo 3 days ago, should I worry about blasting it with this grow light for 4, 8, or 12 hours at max brightness without an adjustment period?
-does this light function similarly to the sun in the sense of can it induce burns? (Obviously it’s not staying on for 24 hours, but is it safe to run 8 hours while I work?)
-do I even need supplemental lighting to begin with? I really wanted these lights to induce some healthier growth during the winter/fall seasons.
-would it be wise to run these lights for ~4 hours when I get home every night (9pm) for a week to acclimate them?
I’m not so worried about my more mature Thai Con, that fucker LOVES bright direct light…almost full sun.
I welcome any and all criticism!

I have no suggestions. So beautiful wow
GE PAR38 grow bulbs are fantastic! They work a lot better than those led strip bulbs.
Definitely acclimate the albo to the light if you’re not sure what the lighting situation was before. I was a little hasty with mine when I moved and it’s just a tiny bit sunburnt. I recommend adding silica to just about every watering if you’re not doing so already. I have all of my variegated monsteras in near-direct sunlight, probably similar to the kind your Thai is in :))
So i was always under the impression that any light you power with a USB plug in isn’t powerful enough for any plant. I switched over to bulbs and reg power corded lights and have noticed a huge difference. Especially in my croton and elephant ear
