Live in a constantly windy area with lots of dust and soil that gets carried and trapped in the grass. This is the result of the build up.Looking for ideas on how to remove all this excess soil build up. Did this with a shovel and edger.

1. edger for the sides
2. raking/dethatching to loosen excess soil
3. brooming or power washer to get more dirt out, if needed (go slowly + be careful if using power washer)
hate to say this, but keep going and reseed.
I know absolutely nothing about lawns. But could you rent a sod cutter from home Depot to take off a couple inches and then reseed?
